Follow the prompts on your own deviceYour device will show a recovery seed during wallet creation. Write it down exactly as displayed and store it offline somewhere private. Never photograph it, save it in a file, or type it into a computer, phone, website, or chat.
Your recovery seed is the master backupYour recovery seed gives access to your wallet if your device is lost or damaged. Trezor Support will never ask you to share it. Anyone who sees the words may be able to take your assets, so treat the backup like the keys to your home.
Your Trezor is designed so sensitive actions stay under your control. Confirm important details on the device screen itself, not just on your computer.
